Lewis Hensley

Lewis Carson Hensley, 95 of Huddleston, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021, heading home to be with his Savior Jesus. He was born on Friday, January 8, 1926 in Bedford County, a son of the late Charles R. Hensley and Minerva Holdren Hensley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marion Hensley Hensley.

Lewis served inthe U. S. Army and was a World War II veteran. He retired from Rubatex Corporation after thirty-eight years. He was member of Huddleston Church of God of Prophecy. His interests included hunting and spending time with friends. He was an avid gardener and for many years sols produce at the Bedford Farmers Market after he retired.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda Smith (Glen); his son, Randy Hensley (Susan); grandchildren, Amy Smith Thomas (John), Joshua Hensley, Joy Hensley; his great-grandchildren, Gabriel Thomas, Spencer Thomas, Eva Hensley. He is also survived by sisters, Christine Hatcher Bryant, Carrie Ware; brothers, Clyde Hensley (Shirley), Wayne Hensley (Judy) as well as his sister-in-law, Virginia Reynolds.
