Elbert Ray Hairston

Elbert Ray Hairston, 88, of Martinsville VA, passed away on Saturday, May 8th, 2021, at Stanleytown Health & Rehab. He was born in Bassett VA, to the late, Willie Hairston and Maranda Wells Hairston.

Mr. Hairston was also preceded in death by a son Elbert Ray Hairston Jr; sister, Mary Robertson; brother, John Hairston; and a grandson Jonathan Baker.

Mr. Hairston is survived by a daughter Cathy Helms; two brothers, James Hairston and Timothy Hairston; grandson Christopher Baker; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 13, 2021, at 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be private.
