Jimmie Hale Lamkin

Jimmie Hale Lamkin, 84, of Ridgeway, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at his home. He was born July 14, 1938 in Rockingham County, North Carolina, to the late Clarence Lamkin and Vida Young Lamkin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jimmie Hale “Junior” Lamkin, Jr.

He retired from Nationwide Homes and enjoyed working in his yard. He loved Ford cars and his cat.

Jimmie is survived by his wife, Mabel Irene Cox Lamkin; daughter, Brenda Lamkin Mayhew (Scott); sisters, Ann Cruff and Helen Millner; brothers, Thomas Lamkin (Ellen) and Bobby Lamkin (Mary); and grandson, Mark Mayhew (Tirzah).

The graveside service will be Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 10:00 AM, at the Cox Family Cemetery, Old Mill Road, Ridgeway, Virginia 24148.
