Gary Lee Gillespie

Gary Lee Gillespie, 61, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023. He was born June 16, 1962, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to the late Julius Gillespie and Frances Davis Gillespie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, David Gillespie; and sister, Eloise Gillespie.

Gary was a dedicated employee at Food Lion as a produce worker. He loved to cook, dance, and sing.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Gillespie; brother, Julius Gillespie, Jr.; sisters, Madge Robinson, Annie Pearl Addison, Julia Ann Gillespie, Frances L. Shelpher; daughters, Victoria Smith, Nina Maus, Adrianna Gillespie, Geneva Gillespie; sons, Derek Gillespie, Antoine Perez, Isaiah Gillespie, and Gary Gillespie; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

All services will be private.
