Melissa Renae Gauldin-Peters-Capps

On Monday, April 27, 2020, Melissa Renae Gauldin-Peters-Capps, loving wife, sister, daughter, niece, and mother of three children passed away at the age of 51. Melissa was born on July 13, 1968 in Roanoke Virginia to Brenda Cawley and Claude “Ozzy” Gauldin. She graduated from William Fleming in 1986.

Melissa loved being outside, listening to music and going to concerts. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was known for her kind heart and infectious smile.

Melissa was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Critcher (Cawley). She is survived by her husband, Carl “Willie” Capps, her three children, Jessie and Mandy Peters, Jamie Plunkett and fiancé Tessa Davis, and Aaron Capps; two grandchildren, Abigail and Mason Peters; her sister, Tiffany and Steven Kinsey, and niece, Jadalee Kinsey.
