Gary Eugene Huffman

Gary Eugene Huffman, 63, of Bassett Virginia, passed away Wednesday June 21, 2023, at his residence. He was born June 01, 1960, in Martinsville, Virginia, to Angie Lucille Kendrick Huffman and the late Lawrence Eugene Huffman.

He helped build Gospel Road Baptist Church and had a close relationship with its members. He enjoyed fishing in his free time. He was a handyman, and he loved nature and spending time with his family. He loved helping others. You could always call him when you needed help fixing things. He touched the lives of everyone he met. We all depended on him for everything.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Wanda Bullins (Clyde) and Tabatha “Tabby” Linkous (Rex); brother, Randy Huffman; nieces, Jessica Young (Tank) and Samantha Linkous; nephews, Bradley Arrington, Michael Bullins, and Zac Linkous; and great-nieces and nephews, Tyler Arrington, Gabby Arnold, Kayden Hughes, Axl Robbins, Marlee Horton, Jameson Horton, Aiden Bullins, and Nori Young.

Gary had a special relationship with all his nieces and nephews from the oldest to the youngest. They have countless memories of games, adventures, and special times they had with him. He was prominent in each of their lives and his absence will be immensely felt, but they will cherish the times they got to spend with him.
