Ada Mae Mullins Sizemore

Ada Mae Mullins Sizemore, 82, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at her home. She was born February 18, 1942, in Mullins, West Virginia, to the late Clarence Mullins and Getrude Burke Mullins.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Delano Sizemore, Sr.; sisters, Watha Lambert, Agatha Sizemore, Opal Sizemore, Vada Ann Mullins, and Debbie Ro Contos; brothers, Greely Mullins, Gaylord Mullins, Estil Mullins, and Edward Mullins.Ada was of the Christian faith and a member of Shepherd’s Chapel. She was employed for many years in both the furniture and textile industries. A devoted and self-sacrificing mother, she loved being with her family, especially sitting at the table with her coffee, enjoying sweet conversation. She enjoyed cooking large meals for her family and was especially known for making biscuits and gravy. Some of her favorite pastimes included listening to music and looking at beautiful flowers. There was nothing more precious to her than traveling home to Herndon Mountain, West Virginia, to see family.She is survived by her daughters, Angela Zachwieja and Ada Yvonne Johnson (Brian); son, Donald Sizemore, II; sisters, Glada Green, Aster Austin, Bonnie Adkins (Harold), and Cathy Avants (Bruce); grandchildren Daniel Zachwieja, Jared Johnson, Traci Jenkins, and Luke Johnson; great-grandchildren, Juliet Zachwieja, Elliot Zachwieja, Johnathon Jenkins, Ivy Jenkins; great-great-grandson, Enzo Jenson; numerous nieces and nephews.A private family service will be held in her home on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
