Albert Paul Ware

Albert Paul Ware, Sr., 90, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, at Stanleytown Health and Rehab. He was born March 1, 1934, in North Carolina, to the late Lawrence Ware and Daisy West Ware.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randy Ware; sisters, Viloa, Novella, and Lucille; brothers, Johnny, George, L.G., and Boyce.Albert proudly served in the United States Army during peace time for three years and was a morse code expert. He was a member of Collinsville Covenant Brethren Church for over fifty years and went for forty-six years without missing a Sunday. Albert enjoyed golfing and bowling. He loved older cars, especially Chevys. He owned a 1940 Ford coupe with beautiful crushed red velvet buttoned and tucked interior.He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Lois Prillaman Ware; son, Paul Ware, Jr. (Stephanie); beloved granddaughter, Scarlett (Tyler); step-grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) and Ariel (Max); step-great grandchild, Eislie; and special niece, Teresa.There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the service. The funeral will be Friday, June 28, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Collinsville Covenant Brethren Church, 553 W John Redd Boulevard, Collinsville, Virginia, with Pastor Roy McVey officiating. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park. Military Honors will be presented by The Martinsville & Henry County Veterans Honor Guard.
