Alberta Walker

Alberta Walker, 96, of Collinsville, Virginia, completed her earthly journey and ran into the arms of her Savior Monday, August 25, 2025. She was born November 25, 1928, in South Carolina, to the late Robert and Rosinna Griffin Perry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Walker, Sr.; daughter, Mary Ann Walker; sons, Kenneth Walker, Jr., Theodore Walker, Ernest Walker, William Walker; sisters, Lila Walker and Edith Walker; and brothers, James Perry and Robert Perry.

Alberta was of the Christian faith and a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Martinsville, Virginia. She attended Rochambeau School in New Rochell District, New York, and spent her life making home a special place for her family. She loved reading and studying the Bible. Her home was a place where people gathered to share life and enjoy her delicious cooking. Alberta adored her grandchildren and her family. Her legacy of love and faith will leave indelible prints on the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Elizabeth Walker Howard; sons, Jimmie Walker, Sr. (Trena), Franklin Walker (Joyce), Al Nasir Walker (Sabrina), Joseph Walker (LeAnn); 31 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 5, 2025, from 3:00-5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
