Alfred Bennie Hancock

Alfred Bennie Hancock, age 75 of Danville, Virginia passed away November 1, 2024 at SOVAH Health in Danville. Mr. Hancock was born July 4, 1949 in Danville to the late Evelyn Deering Hancock ant the late William Lawrence Hancock. He was married to Wanda Adkins Hancock.

Mr. Hancock attended Dan River Church and was retired as a foreman in the construction industry. He will always be remembered as a kind and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife of the residence, he is survived by three sons, Bennie Hancock (Jan), Brian Hancock (Laura), and Jason Hancock (special friend, Kristy), grandchildren, Brittney Hancock, Taylor Hedrick, Kayla Hancock, and Abi Hancock; step-grandchildren, Tristian Evans and Bradley Evans; great-grandchildren, Mason, Makinlee, Serenity, Leena, Micaiah, Madelyn, Ryan, Christian, and Elena; siblings, Harold Hancock, Robert Hancock, Thelma Chiton (Robert), Louise Adkins, Pauline Bruce, and Ann Scearce.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hancock was also predeceased by three siblings, Peggy Goodman, Ruth Anderson, and Junior Hancock.

A Celebration of Life Service will be scheduled for a later date honoring Mr. Hancock.

The family will receive friends and family at the residence.
