Alfred E. Hairston, 65, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024. He was born February 23, 1959, in Henry County, Virginia, to the late Walter W. Hairston and Hattie Zigler Hairston.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Willa Moore and Shirley Mitchell; and brothers, James Hairston, David Hairston, and Roy Hairston.Alfred loved to have fun and enjoyed singing and dancing.He is survived by sisters, Odessa Greene, Mary Hairston, Correne Thomas (Mark), Betty Hairston, and Kathy Fountain (Ray); and brothers, Walter Hairston, Calvin Hairston, and John Hairston.The funeral service will be held Friday, August 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service. A floating visitation will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Wright Funeral Service from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
