Alla Verie Dalton

Alla Verie Dalton, 98, of Providence, NC, passed away on Wednesday, November 7,

2024. She was born to the late Floyd Adkins and Laura Adkins. In addition to her

parents Verie was predeceased by her husband, Myron Clyde Dalton; son, Jerry Dalton;

daughter, Vickie Burton; three brothers, Brice Adkins, Estill Adkins, and Warren Adkins;

and four sisters, Wanda Bickford, Oral Childers, Opal Bowling, and Imal Sanders.

Verie was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She resided in Providence for the

past 50 years and was a member of Shady Oak Baptist Church. For the past two years,

she lived at the Stratford House in Danville, VA.

She is survived by her son, David Dalton (Rhonda) of Providence, NC; daughters, Laura

Dalton White (Pete) of Providence, NC and Sandra Check (Connie) of Oklahoma; nine-

grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.

A funeral service will be held Monday, November 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Norris

Funeral Services, West End Chapel, officiated by Pastor Avery Marshall. A visitation will

be held one hour prior. Burial will follow the service at Danville Memorial Gardens.
