Allen Fridley

Allen Martin Fridley, age 84, of Dunlap Creek Road, Covington, Virginia died Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Davis & McDaniel Veterans Care Center, Roanoke.

He was born September 3, 1940 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late John Oliver Fridley and Eleanor Wickline Fridley. He was a retired carpenter who built many homes over the years. He was a member of Wild Meadows Baptist Church in White Sulphur Springs and attended Sharon Baptist Church. Allen loved to hunt, garden and travel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta “Billie” Wylie Fridley; two sisters, Mary Ellen Fridley and Ruth Johnson; and two brothers, Paul Oliver Fridley and Calvin Fridley.

He is survived by two sisters, Rebecca Kelly and Elizabth Simpson; three brothers, Ledford Fridley, Delbert Fridley and Michael Fridley; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 2:00PM in Wylie Chapel Cemetery, Gap Mills, West Virginia with Reverend Virgil Woodie officiating. Interment will immediately follow.
