Allen John Thomas

ALLEN JOHN THOMAS, 73, of Rocky Gap, VA, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020. He was born March 22, 1947 in Delaware, the son of the late Howard, Sr. & Alice Melvin Thomas.

His children describe him as a homebody and a hard worker, and that his favorite thing to do was to drive his Ford truck.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Haven and Havannah and a brother, Howard Thomas, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Dorothy Knight Thomas; his son, James Edward Clark; his daughters & sons-in-law, Deborah Clark, Mary & Angelo Penna and Dora Lee & Timothy R. Collins; his grandchildren, Sarah Clark, “J.C.” Clark, Angel Clark, Elizabeth Clark, John Clark, Chris Clark, Erica Clark, Jessica McGinnes, Steven Clark, April Clark, Brandon Miller, Leroy Pfarner, Daniel Thomas, Ashley Collins and Colin Collins; his great-grandchildren, Kendrick Clark, “Toph” Clark, Kamdon Fleming, Ananya Moore, Jaxen Moore, Alexis Clark, Adriana Miller, Noah Clark, Rosaleah Holmes, Athena Penna, Bentley Thomas, Anthony Thomas, Isabella Thomas, Zia Thomas, Layla Thomas and one on the way, Graycen Palmer; two brothers, George and Bill and one sister, Linda.

Per his wishes, he has been cremated. Following strictly the current regulations restricting assembly, there will be no public services at this time. The family plans to have a memorial service in the future, which will be announced.
