Alma Jo Shaver

Alma Jo Shaver of Roanoke passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. She was 79.

She was a baptized member of The Lord’s Church. She attended The Westside Church of Christ in Salem, Va.

She was a wife and a mother. She worked in The Roanoke City School System for approximately 15 years. She then worked at a local Daycare for approximately 10 more years.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Shaver and her son, Tony Shaver. Martha Wood a dear friend and someone she thought the world of. Chris Brown whom she loved and helped like a grandson. His daughter Haylee Brown who she loved and thought there was “no one like HayLee.”

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home Salem. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Lotz Salem Chapel with Pastor Eddie Gilpin officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
