Amanda Cassada Vest
Amanda Cassada Vest, 71, of Madison Heights, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
Born on August 6, 1954, in Asbury Park, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Nannie Cassada. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Cassada.
Amanda graduated from E.C. Glass High School in 1972. She worked as a childcare provider for 22 years at Elizabeth’s Early Learning Center, a role she was deeply proud of. She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time outdoors, walking, gardening, and doing word searches. She loved the beach, adored dogs, and was known for her generous spirit. Amanda was strong, sassy, stubborn, and full of spunk, qualities that made her uniquely beloved.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the team at Gentle Shepherd Hospice for the exceptional care they provided to Amanda in her final days.
She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Siefert (Stephen); her brother, Don Cassada (Bernice); and her beloved grand dog, Callie.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Rick Rasberry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00–12:45 p.m. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
