Amanda Mikolay Slate

Mrs. Amanda Mikolay Slate, age 49, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy. She was born on October 17, 1976 in Surry County to Peggy Jackson Hall. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Nathan and Justin Slate; parents, Peggy Hall (Ricky); sister, Penny Haynes (Richie); nephews, Gray and Mackenzie Haynes; uncles, Ronnie Lee and Jack Hall. Mrs. Slate was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Mikolay. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Bro. Rick Jackson. Burial will follow in The Community Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time for the service at the funeral home.
