Amy Belle Horton
Amy Belle Horton passed away on February 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family as she made her journey from this world to be with her heavenly Father.
Born on August 30, 1974, in San Angelo, Texas, to Jerry and Beckie Horton, Amy lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to those she held dear.
On September 9, 1995, Amy’s most cherished journey began when she became the mother to her beloved son, Blake. Her heart only grew fuller when she embraced the role of “MiMi” on April 4, 2018. Amy’s joy continued to grow with her engagement to the love of her life, Ben, on December 12, 2024. She was eagerly anticipating their marriage, set for March 16, 2025, and was looking forward to a life filled with love and togetherness, including Ben's son, Dawson, whom she adored.
Throughout her life, Amy wore many titles — daughter, mother, sister, fiancée, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was known to all as a hair magician, therapist, and, most importantly, a caregiver and servant. Amy’s selflessness and ability to always put others before herself was a defining characteristic that touched everyone she met.
Amy is now reunited with her father, Jerry, and her sister, Gracie, along with other loved ones who passed before her. She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind: her mother, Beckie; her son Blake (and daughter-in-law Brianna); her grandsons Korbyn and Danny; her sisters, Ruthie, Sandi (Jr), Gerri (Shaun); her fiancée Ben and stepson Dawson; brother Scott (Audrey) nieces and nephews Ashlynn, Bradley, Kadin, Isaac, Selah, Jakob (McKenzie), Alexus (Spenser), Shaun, Zoie, Gunner; Dawson, and Autumn, and her great-niece Kenzlee, along with countless other family members and friends.
Amy’s love was a light that touched so many. She lived her life with a strong faith in God and set an example for others to follow through her actions. She loved unconditionally, served others with her whole heart, and never judged. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Go rest high on that mountain, Amy — we will see you again soon.
