Amy Michelle Six

Amy Michelle Six, 38, of Salem, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2023, after a long battle with Pancreatitis.
She was born on February 27, 1985, in Salem, Va., the daughter of Cathy Jean Powell and the late Timothy Wayne Six. Amy graduated from Glenvar High School, class of 2004. She met the love of her life at an early age and became a stay-at-home mom. She absolutely loved spending time with her family and loved ones. Amy left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

In addition to her father, Amy was preceded in death by her stepfather, Kraig Campbell, and her grandfather, Charles C. Powell.

Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her husband, David Smith; daughters, Katherine and Hannah Smith; mother, Cathy Powell; sister, Amanda Six; grandmother, Dorothy “Dot” Powell; aunts and uncles, Donna and Mark Reynolds, and Ricky and Shelly Powell; cousins, Cody Reynolds (Elizabeth), and Dustin and Kaitlyn Powell; nieces, Breonna and Malaya Muse; and special friends / extended family, Crystal Wooldridge, Randy and April Robbins and Kasey and Jason Clark; and her special fur babies, Bella, Diesel, and Simba.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 1 until 2 p.m. at John M. Oakey and Son funeral home, in Salem. Funeral services to honor Amy’s life will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Adam Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
