Angela Jeannett Dean Rodkey

Our dear Angela Jeannett Dean Rodkey sadly passed away on May 16, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on March 11, 1972, to Eddie Reece Dean and Judy Kay Burkett in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and had two sisters. She lived in various places growing up including Radford, Hawaii, South Carolina and California. She attended West Texas State for one year and Radford University for one year before moving to Roanoke, Virginia and began working at Spectrum where she met her husband. She was married to Ronald Rodkey in 1999 and had three beautiful children with him. She continued a career in bookkeeping before becoming a homemaker in her last years. She was a wonderful mother and friend to many. She had a vivacious personality and lit up a room with her presence. She leaves behind husband Ronald Rodkey, son Benjamin Rodkey and daughter in law Kayla Rodkey with grandson Lukas Rodkey, son Andrew Rodkey, and son Michael Rodkey.

A Memorial service celebrating Angela’s incredible life will be held on Friday, May 23rd at 10:30am at Citylight Church on 1511 Maiden Lane SW Roanoke VA with a luncheon to follow.
