Anita Cary

Anita Marie Webb Cary, age 73, of 1019 Hattie Street, Covington, Virginia died on Friday, November 28, 2025 at her residence.

Anita was born on January 3, 1952 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late James Albert Webb and Virginia Mae Sizemore Webb. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy. Anita taught Sunday school, was the youth leader, enjoyed singing in church, and loved Bingo.

In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Daniel Webb; and a sister in-law, Jane Barker Webb.

She is survived by her husband, Roy David Cary, Sr. of Covington; two daughters, Jennifer Marie May and Deborah Cary Fridley (Jack) both of Covington; a son, Roy David Cary, Jr. of Covington; seven brothers, Timothy Lee Webb of Covington, Steven Webb of Farmville, Ricky Webb (Mildred) of Covington, Rocky Webb (Jean) of Covington, James Albert Webb, Jr. (Jenny) of Covington, Dennis Webb (Rhonda) of Roanoke, and Douglas Eugene Webb (Sherry) of Millboro; five grandchildren, Breanna Nicole Fridley, Michael Thomas May, Jacob Lee Fridley, Gabriella Nichole May, and Zachary Thomas May; and a number of nieces and nephews

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Darian Slone officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will visit with friends on Monday, December 1, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
