Ann J. Thomason

Ann J. Thomason, age 58 of Bedford County, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 13, 2023.

Ann was born in Bedford County February 22, 1965 and lived in the area all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Myrtle V. Dooley Gibson.

Ann was a believer and attended several area churches. She was an avid copper recycler, enjoyed WWE, and collected unicorns.

In addition to her mother, Ann was preceded in death by her husbands: Harry R. Pack and Carl D. Thomason, Jr.; five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her partner, Earl Hicks; son, Carl D. (Megan) Thomason, III of Hardy, “adopted son”, Jeramy (Angel) Cline of Roanoke; daughter, Wanda Pack of Roanoke; grandchildren: Isaiah Reynolds, Elijah Reynolds (Miranda Todd), and Ember Pack (Brandon Chocklett); brothers: Bobby Gibson and Joe (Deborah) Gibson all of Montvale; sisters: Debbie Dooley and Donna Widener both of Montvale; special sister-in-law, Judy “Granny Judy” Presley of Roanoke; and her life-long companion, Poppy.

A celebration of Ann’s life will be 2:00 pm Monday, July 17 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Ann’s family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service Monday.
