Ann Kathryn Englehard Disney

December 20, 1936 - April 5, 2025

Ann Disney, a beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in Yulee, Florida April 5, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, George and Beatrice Engelhard and her first husband, Robert

Hardesty.

Ann led a life marked by creativity, intelligence, and warmth. She spent part of her career as an investment portfolio analyst, where her sharp mind and love of research and analysis shined. She later devoted herself fully to her family as a homemaker — a

role she embraced with deep love and unwavering dedication. She is survived by her second husband, Walter Disney (Virginia), and devoted sister, Joan Bagley (Waynesboro, VA) as well as her loving children, Shelly Edwards (Dave) of Virginia Beach, VA, and David Hardesty (Lezlie) of Fernandina Beach, FL, and her treasured grandchildren: Morgan Price, Hallie Marchigiani, Ashton Hardesty, Savanna Hardesty, of Fernandina Beach and Miranda Edwards, and Austin Edwards of Virginia Beach. Her legacy continues through her seven great-grandchildren, and eight nieces and nephews, whose lives were touched by her warmth and joy.

Ann found beauty in life’s little details. She had a passion for painting, interior design, and decorating — always surrounding herself and others with color and charm. She enjoyed crafting, dressing up, and capturing the world through her lens. She had a deep appreciation for good food, nutrition, and never turned down a piece of chocolate. A lover of sunsets and all things beautiful, Ann's spirit was vibrant, curious, and full of life.

Her presence was a gift, her love was unconditional, and her memory will forever be a light in the lives of those who knew her. A celebration of her life will be at the Driskill Funeral Home on Grandview Drive in Amherst, VA, this Thursday April 10th at 11:00am, followed by a dedication of the grave by Dan Beidler (nephew).
