Annette Leah Rood Williams

Annette “Anne” Leah Rood Williams, 68, of Martinsville, Va. passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025. She was born in Martinsville, July 7, 1956, to the late Frederick Irving Rood, Jr. and Mary Virginia Phelps Rood.

She is survived by her goddaughter, Sabrina Craig; godson, Timothy Shoup; and a host of special friends.

Anne enjoyed helping others and worked in customer service with Warren Trucking, Old Dominion Trucking and Walgreens Drug Stores.

She liked to read and she enjoyed having philosophical discussions with others and was very good at disagreeing without being disagreeable. She dedicated her life to helping others and especially providing a great home to the cats she took in.

A gathering of friends to celebrate Anne’s life will be held in the future.
