Annie Maude Hodge Flood

Annie Maude Hodge Flood, 73, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Friday, June 9, 2023. She was born May 2, 1950, in Henry County, Virginia, to the late Clyde Dillard and Lucy Bell Hodge Dillard.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Flood; sister, Jeanette Price; brothers, John Dillard, and Barry Dillard.

Annie attended Peaceful Zion Baptist Church and was a graduate of GW Carver High School. She enjoyed spending her free doing puzzle books, singing, watching Hallmark on Television, shopping and loved sitting on the porch.

She is survived by her sisters, Denise Dillard, Shirley Martin, and Jannie Fuller; Brothers, Dennis Dillard (Tammy), and Bobby Dillard (Anita); A host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends; and A special caregiver, Sierra Dillard.

The funeral will be Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 12:00 PM, at Peaceful Zion Baptist Church with Bishop Howard Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Flood Family Cemetery. The visitation will be Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 11:15 AM – 12:00 PM. A floating visitation will be held Friday, June 16, 2023, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
