Anthony Joseph Staninas
Anthony Joseph Staninas II (Tony), passed away Monday, November 17, 2025. He leaves behind two daughters, Christal and Alexandria, and a granddaughter, Anna. Also, Josina Nash of Lynchburg, VA, and Sam Dickens (wife Alison, 3 children) of Sanford, NC, who he viewed as his own.
He was predeceased by his parents, his older sister (Wanda), and his beloved friend and mother of his children, (Joyce Staninas).
Born September 5, 1966 to Anthony Joseph Staninas I and Ann Marie Staninas (Lydiksen) in Denville, NJ, he grew up in White Meadow Lake and graduated from Morris Hills High School. A contractor by trade, Tony worked in construction and plumbing his entire life. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as telling stories about him and his friends hanging out at Pole 38. Tony never met a stranger- making friends and telling stories everywhere he went. His family and all the friends he’s made will miss him very much. They will be celebrating his life after the holidays. Please reach out to them for details.
Tony was an organ donor, and as heartbreaking as his passing is, 3 lives were saved by his loss. While his family is grieving, they find comfort in knowing that 3 other families got a second chance and more time together with those they love. The family strongly urges others to consider organ donation.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to LifeNet Organ Donations, or in trust to his granddaughter, Anna, who was the greatest joy of his life.
Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
