April Blalock Carroll

April Blalock Carroll, 89, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at her residence in Danville, VA. Born on September 6, 1936, in Franklin County, VA to the late Lacy Whorley and the late Haggie Boothe Whorley, Mrs. Caroll lived most of her life in the Danville area, where she worked as a manager for Goodwill Industries before her retirement. She was married to the late Eugene Blalock and later to the late Alvin Carroll.

Mrs. Carroll will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family and friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela B. Lewis; a son, Randy Blalock; two sisters, Jo Cox and Jane Peters, and seven grandchildren, Isaiah Booth, Mike Blalock, Lacy Blalock, Beth Blalock, Alex Booth, Stephen Lewis, and Carla Blalock.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Carroll was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy Booth; a son, Mike Blalock; three sisters, Pauline Blalock, Margaret Whorley, and Iva Williams, as well as one brother, Roger Whorley, and a grandson, Eric Lewis.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, VA at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Timothy Lee.
