Arnold "Junior" Ratcliff

Arnold “Junior” Ratcliff, 64, of Rocky Mount, Virginia passed away Monday, February 3, 2025. He was born March 5, 1960, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Arnold “Buddy” Roosevelt Ratcliff and Ellie Marie Crowder Ratcliff.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence “Flo” Ann Cox Ratcliff; sisters, Nancy McCoy, Sylvia “Penny” Ratcliff, Star Lynn Quesenberry; brother, Teddy Ratcliff; and niece, Alana Triplett.

Arnold enjoyed the outdoors. In his free time, he enjoyed motorcycles, camping, and hunting. He was employed by Speed Weight Recycling where he was a truck driver for many years. He took pride in his truck. He loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his daughter, Briana Ratcliff Pagans (Augustin Salgado); sisters, Della “Katie” Hutcherson and Sarah Gilman; brothers, Mike Ratcliff (Brenda) and David Ratcliff (Judy); grandchildren, Bryleigh Salgado, Asher Salgado, Layla Salgado and Saint Salgado; and his dog, Princess.

The Funeral will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service with Pastor Brian Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Cox Cemetery, Fork Mountain Rd, Rocky Mount, Virginia. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
