Garnet Spencer Waddill

Garnet S. Waddill, 89, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was born in Virginia on March 18, 1933 to the late Pete Albert Spencer and the late Gladys Hundley Spencer. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband,RobertWilson Waddill; grandson, Michael Reid and brother, Lloyd Spencer.
Garnet is survived by daughter, Kelli Alger (David); grandchildren, Kellisha Hartman, Logan Alger (Jessie-Lynn) and Joshua Alger; great grandchildren, Jordan Hartman and Archie Alger; brother, Aaron Martin (Peggy) and sisters, Esther Newman and Erma Driver (Archie).
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Friday, April 29, 2022 in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where the funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm with Pastor Pete Trout officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at County Line Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery.
Due to the governor’s requirements for COVID 19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing should be observed when visiting the funeral home.
