Johnnie R. "Red" Long, 77, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aril 22, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Johns Long; and son, Craig Benton Long.
Surviving are his daughter, Amy L. Long; grandaaughters, Braelyn R. Martin and Isabelle R. Long; and sisters, Barbara Long and Kathy Bentley.
Johnnie realy enjoyed working for and later retiring from the Norfolk Southern Railway.
A celebraton of Johnnie's life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
