Louise D. Purdy

Louise D. Purdy, 92 of Bassett passed away Thursday May 26, 2022 at Stanleytown Health Care.  She was born in Henry, Co on September 18, 1929 to the late Harry Donovant and the late Mallie Alley Donovant.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward L. Purdy, son; Thomas G. “Tommy” Purdy, brother; Pete Turner and sisters; Hazel Fowler, Lorraine Smith, Pauline Carter and grandchildren Mike Stanley and Jimmie Lee Adams, Jr.  Louise was a member of Blackberry Baptist Church. 
She is survived by two daughters and son – in – law, Jo Ann Lawson and Bobby and Deborah (Debbie) Stanley, sons and daughter – in – law, Eddie Purdy and Darleen and Donald Purdy.  Also survived by 5 grandchildren; Jeff Ramsey, Chris Stanley, Jennifer Burns, Jessica Shelton and Amber Eanes, 9 great grandchildren two sisters Mary Stevens and Peggy Wright.
The visitation will be Wednesday, June 1 from 1-2 p.m. at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with funeral Services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
