Barry Lee Carter

Barry Lee Carter, 74 of Pembroke, VA departed this life on May 30, 2022 in the care of his family.  Born in Giles County on July 15, 1947 he was a son of the late Earnest and Edna Neice Carter.
In addition to his parents, Barry is preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Dean Carter “Coolie”; and a niece, Heather Huffman.
Left to cherish his memory to their hearts are his wife, Kathy Kerr Carter; a daughter, Jessica Pritt (Greg) of Hot Springs, VA; stepchildren, BJ Thompson (Nichole) of Pearisburg, and Teddy Jensen (Miranda) of Pearisburg; grandchildren, Clairborne Pritt, Reaghan Pritt, Preston Jensen, Jezdon Carter, Kennedi Pritt, and Maxwell Thompson; brother, Henry Carter of Pembroke; sisters, Tina Jackson (Jim) of Bozoo, Donna Shaver (Greg) of Pembroke; Patricia Carter of Pembroke, Betty Jo Carter of Pembroke, Rebecca Blevins (Ivan) of Pembroke,  and Pam Frair (Curtis) of Pearisburg; step-grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Matthew Caldwell, Meredith Oakes, McKenzie Oakes, Danielle Ratcliffe, and Conner Ratcliff; Mother and Father-in-Laws, Bill and Vernie Kerr; brother-in-law, David Kerr; a step sister-in-law, Marsha Barnett; step brother-in-law, Gordy Hazelwood (Angie); special friends on the front porch of Little Giant; special friend, David Miller who was always willing to help; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
