Jackie Roberta Ratliff Burks

Jackie Roberta Ratliff Burks, 82, of Roanoke Virginia, passed away June 7th, 2022, at home surrounded by family.
Born February 27, 1940 in Grundy, Va. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Maye Ratliff. She attended Cincinnati Bible Seminary and Milligan College. She studied music and was a musician all her life. She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol as well as Kiwanis. She was a life-long Christian and was a member of the Salem Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 grandsons, TJ Glover and Spencer Mungwira; a daughter, Normandee Dorr.
She leaves behind her husband, Thomas Burks; a stepson, Michael Burks; sons, Ramon Sentell and Richard Queen; daughters, Gloria Queen and Katrinke Sentell; sister, Kathy Looney; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, 3912 Electric Road, at 1 pm on Monday, June 13, 2022 with Tony Plott officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
