Hugh Haldane "Junior" Kingery, Jr.

Hugh Haldane “Junior” Kingery, Jr, of Buchanan, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Junior was preceded in death by his wife, Dolly Bryan Kingery; parents, Hugh, Sr. and Bessie Clark Kingery; and brothers, Mac and Nub Kingery. He had retired from James River Limestone as a heavy equipment operator, he loved woodworking, cutting firewood, hunting, fishing, and loving every day. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Phyllis “PeeWee” Kingery of Buchanan; daughter, Christine Proffitt Caldwell of Huddleston; grandson, Nathaniel and Shawna Kingery; great grandchildren, Waverly, Remington, and Everest Kingery; sisters and brothers-in-law; Eleanor and Phillip Clemmer of Buchanan, Paula and Ronnie Page of Cloverdale, and Gail and Gary Aaron of Buchanan; special friends more like daughters, Dot Deacon and Betty “BJ” Devine; and his Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren Church Family and dear friend, Pastor Michael Tabor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 11, 2022, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan with Pastor Michael Tabor officiating.
