Kenneth Mack McCroskey

February 25, 1943 - June 8, 2022

Kenneth Mack McCroskey, 79, of Salem, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

Kenny served in the US Army, and later retired from Yokohama after 34 years of employment. He enjoyed writing poetry, appreciated nature, and was a faithful servant of the Lord.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Jerry Mack and Nora Ellen Dye McCroskey; 6 siblings; 2 brothers-in-law, and 1 sister-in-law.

His surviving family includes his son, Timothy Wayne McCroskey and wife, Dena; grandchildren, Joshua Ryan Fogle, Noah Christian McCroskey, and Zachary Cade McCroskey; step-granddaughter, Connor Cheyenne Matherly; siblings, Shirley Shrader, Wanda Asbury and husband, Herbert, Elsie Hinegar and special friend, Wayne Holden, Larry McCroskey and wife, Diane, Rodney McCroskey and wife, Faye, Michael McCroskey, and Marshall McCroskey and wife, Debbie; and many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks is extended to Elsie and Wayne for everything they did for Kenny during these past few years.

A celebration of Kenny’s life will take place on Monday, June 13, 2022, at the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem, Va., with a period of visitation beginning at 12 p.m., and a funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke, Va. Pastor John Virden will officiate.
