Derek James Roberson-Deal

Derek James Roberson-Deal, 39, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at his residence. He was born August 18, 1982, in Roanoke, Virginia to the late James Lester Roberson and Eunice Gwendolyn “Gwen” McCollum Wingfield.

Derek loved his fur babies and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his husband, Jonathan Deal-Roberson; sister, Kimberly Whiteley (Marlon), and Angela Carr (Timmy); brother, Eric Roberson (Summer); aunts, Karen McCollum and Cindy Parrish; cousin, Joey Roberson; step grandparents, Rachel and Jack Tibbs; nieces and nephews, Kash Hasworth, Marlon Whiteley, Jr., Sierra Carr, Alyssa Roberson, and Justin J.C. Covey; great nieces and nephews, Skylin Hasworth, Harlan Hasworth, Krew Hasworth, Sadiee Covey, and Trey Whiteley; best friend, Lisa Harville; and extended family and friends.
