Margaret Gaynell Naff
Margaret Gaynell Naff, 83, of Henry, Va. passed away at her home on Thursday, July 7, 2022. She was born in Henry County, Va. on June 6, 1939 to Joseph Eldridge Turner and Sallie Hodges Turner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Gray Naff; an infant son, Michael Gray Naff, sisters, Dorothy Lewis, Betty Ruth Dillon, Virginia Wagoner, Kathelene Robertson; brothers, Melvin Turner and James Turner.
She is survived by son, Jeffrey Freddie Gray Naff and his wife Linda; daughter, Annette Naff; grandchildren, LeAnne Naff, Lorin Ashby (Eric), Caleb Naff (Taylor) and Heather Naff; great grandchildren, Reagan Ashby, Sidney Naff, Nathaniel Ashby, and Lacey Naff, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Naff was a very faithful member and true servant of Mill Creek Baptist Church. She sang with the Mill Creek Trio for over 25 years. She loved her family and many friends with all of her heart and focused her life around them. She was a very humble person who had so much love and compassion for other people. She was a true disciple of God and an excellent care giver. She also had a mail ministry in which she would write letters to people every day letting them know she was praying for them. Mrs. Naff also had a great love for all of God’s creatures and would feed every type of bird or wild animal that lived near her home. She especially loved the deer.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McKee-Stone Funeral Home on Sunday, July 10, 2022. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Henry, Virginia.
