Laddy Dean Burnette

Laddy Dean Burnette 67, of Collinsville passed away on July 6, 2022 at Sovah Health of Martinsville.  He was born in Birmingham Michigan on May 30, 1955; to the late Jess Caro Burnette and the late Eunice Watkins Burnette.  Laddy was preceded in death by a son Jesse Burnette, brothers Gary Burnette and Wayne Watkins, and sister Betty Mason.  He was a member of New Life Fellowship in Ridgeway, Va.  Laddy owned and operated L.D. Burnette Construction for over 30 years, and later worked as lead service technician for Abercrobie Oil Co. and Deshazo Oil. 
Surviving is his loving wife Rebecca Jean “Becky” Burnette, daughter Jeannie Burnette Jarrett, son Andy Burnette (Ashley) three grandchildren Chelsey Mayhew (Zachary) Olivia Jarrett and Amelia Burnette and one great grandchild, Milo Mayhew.  Also surviving are brothers Ricky Burnette, Danny Watkins and Lonnie Burnette.
The visitation will be Sunday July 10 from 3-5 p.m. in the chapel of Bassett Funeral Service.  Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, July 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Bassett Funeral Service.  Burial will follow in the Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
