Howard Ray "Mutt" Linkenhoker

Howard Ray “Mutt” Linkenhoker, 95, of Roanoke passed away Friday, July 8, 2022. He was a son of the late, Robert T. Linkenhoker and Lucy Rebecca Wilcher Linkenhoker. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Howard was a long time member of Vinton Wesleyan Church. He grew up and attended Springwood Baptist Church. He was the last of 10 children. In addition to his parents and siblings he is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Pedro Brooks; granddaughter, Angela Lewis and a family friend, Linda Bush.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Martha R. Linkenhoker; children, Patricia Brooks, Marsha Sanderson (Danny) and Donald Linkenhoker (Doris); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 4 to 8 pm, at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke. A graveside service will be held at 9 am, Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Springwood Baptist Church Cemetery, 88 Copps Hill Road, Buchanan, Virginia 24066 with Pastor Ricardo Rodriguez and Chaplain Donna Britt officiating.
