Lester Ray Trout

Lester R. Trout Jr, age 88 of Rocky Mount went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus, surrounded by loving family and friends on Saturday July 16, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester R. Trout Sr. and Hettie P. Trout; his brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Sandra Trout; sister, Constance Poff; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Garland Krantz; son-in-law, Donald Keith Foutz Jr.; three nephews, David Trout Jr., Garland Krantz Jr., and Marlin Krantz; and his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce May Sink Trout. He leaves behind two daughters, Sindy Shields and Celes Foutz; five grandchildren, Tracey Lester, Jason Layman, Jamie France (Bert), Stuart Davis and Jared Foutz; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Lester, Chase Lester, Grafton France, Lennox Davis, Allison France, Breann France and Aslynn Holley. He is also survived by four brothers and four sisters-in-law, David and Sallie Trout, Pete and Suzanne Trout, Paul and Sharon Trout and Jimmy and Vickie Trout; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Nelson and Millie Poff and many loving nieces and nephews. He was loved very much by those whom he ministered to at Franklin Health and Rehab and the family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to them as well. Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Wednesday at Flora Chapel with Rev. Pete Trout officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center.
