James “Jimmie” Herman Sexton, Jr.

James "Jimmie" Herman Sexton, Jr., 57, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 at his home. He was born November 17, 1964, in West Main Frankfort, Germany to the late James Herman Sexton, Sr. and Sandra Jones Sexton. He was a graduate of Salem High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and football, especially Dallas Cowboys.

Jimmie was a member of First Baptist Church, Martinsvile. He is survived by his foster grandmother, Dorothy S. Rowland of Gretna; and two foster aunts, Peggy Sims of Bedford and Carolyn Woody of Gretna.

The graveside service will be Wednesday, July 20, 10:00 a.m., at Mountain View Cemetery, 711 Church Street, Ridgeway, Virginia with Rev. Dr. Libby Grammer and Rev. John F. Fulcher officiating.

He is survived by many friends from First Baptist; the Deacons, the members of the George Brown Sunday School Class, and the ministerial and office staff. Special friends are also Becky and Jerry Taylor, Renee Fulcher, Marsha Garren, Chip Wyatt, Eddie Utt, Dwight Stultz, and Carolyn Adkins.
