Laurna Grace Beckner Doyle Mundy

Laurna Grace Beckner Doyle Mundy (Becky), born Dec. 16, 1931, resident of Roanoke, VA, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 22.

Becky was the child of Peter Samuel and Annie Shirley Beckner. She was born into a family of 9 brothers and sisters including Bob, Jim, John, Paul, Willard, Aileen, Frances, Virginia (Bones) and Marie.

Becky worked most of her life at GE in Salem as an expediter. She is survived by her child, Roseanna Caldwell (Husband Leon). She was always looking for an opportunity to share food and love with those whose path she crossed. She was full of life and always on the go. Many years were spent loving on her grandchildren, Mike Martin (wife Shannon), Aaron Caldwell, Ben Caldwell and great grandchildren, Ashley and Michelle Martin. She modeled love for her family by always being there for each of them. She was graced to have loved and been loved and married to Gene Doyle and after his death, she was blessed to marry Lawrence Mundy.

She is survived by Lawrence Mundy who loved her and cared for her every day they had together. She is also survived by stepchildren, Greg (Lisa) Mundy and Carla Mundy; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Ashley Martin Jones (Aaron), Jermey Caldwell (Alex). Samantha Caldwell, Addison and Anthony Caldwell, Thomas Mundy and Kaylee Mundy; great-great grandchildren, Hunter Michael Martin and Laurna Grace Martin; nieces and nephews including Becky Ann Gore, Sam Casey (Penny), Randy Obenchain (Terry), Karen Obenchain, Sandy Thompson, and Bridgett Beckner, and special friends Rose Barger and Teresa Farmer.

A visitation will be held at Lotz in Vinton on Sunday evening from 6-8. Funeral to be held at Hollins Road Church of the Brethren on Monday at 11:00am, led by Pastor Horace Light. Internment following at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
