Derek Lee Martin

Derek Lee Martin Sr., 44, of Salem, started his next journey on Friday, July 22, 2022. Derek was preceded in death by his father, Danny Martin Sr,; mother, Gloria Richardson; daughter, Destiny Elaine Martin; and cousins, Rhonda Shelor and Scott Madison.

Derek was very kind hearted as seen in his willingness to help others in need. He enjoyed his art and Rock music.

He is survived by his son, Derek Lee Martin Jr.; stepsons, John Jones and Chris Arnold; brother, Danny Martin Jr.; cousin, Lynda Miller; aunt, Carol Shelor; niece, Oiya Martin; and best friend, Brian Reid.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Simpson Funeral Home (Peters Creek) at 4:00 pm on Friday, July 29, 2022. The family will receive friends beforehand from 3:00-4:00pm.
