Ina Mae Bushong White

Ina Mae White, 75, of Hillsville went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 28, 2022.

Momma was a simple, salt of the earth, Godly woman. She said what she meant and meant what she said. She had a lot of strong opinions but none so much as knowing Jesus died for her, loved her, and was always with her.

Her life verse was Phil. 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength.” This became her mantra after several medical issues and the loss of her son, Kevin. Her physical limitations didn’t stop her from singing in the choir, cooking or serving meals for friends and family, or making apple butter with her church family at Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Although we are rejoicing with her as she journeys home, she will be missed by her family and friends.

Ina is survived by her sister, Katrina (Donnie) Benson; daughters. Kim (Sammy) Crawford and Kristal Bushong; grandsons, Kole (Leia) Bushong and Kalen (Logan) Bushong; great granddaughter, Blake Vivian Bushong; nephew and niece, Dustin (Amanda) Cole and Alicia (Justin) Bryant; aunt, Freida White; and cousin, Monique (Terry) Woods.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Orvin and Colleen White; and her beloved son, Kevin Bushong.

Please join us in celebrating her return to her Heavenly Home. She’s been looking forward to singing with the angels and praising her Lord and Savior, in brilliant color. In her own words, “Do not celebrate my life but celebrate me going to be with Jesus.”
