Kenneth Eugene Manns

Kenneth Eugene Manns, 75, of Bassett, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Carilion-Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Henry County on June 20, 1947, to the late Eugen Manns and the late Bertha Manns. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Mae Manns.
Kenneth work at N & W Railroad.  He was a longtime member of St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was a member of the male choir and served as the Chairman of the Deacon Board.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Velma Manns of the home; daughter, Trevia Hailey (Brian); son, Kenneth A. Manns (Candace); 3 grandsons, Kentavius Hailey, Jymasia Manns and Landon Manns; Special daughter, Taquanza Barner; special son, Natovius Barner (Jessica); 2 special grandkids, Ariel Barner and Zycheus Hylton; 2 brothers, Robert Manns (Linda) and Buddy Manns (Francine); 1 sister, Killie Lue Estes (J.R.); several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Bishop MacDaniel Preston eulogizing.  Burial will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens in Martinsville.
