Eleanor Dale Cyrus

Eleanor Dale Cyrus, 76, of Appomattox went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the residence of her sister.
Born in Lynchburg on June 26, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor Jett Martin and John Henry Cyrus. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a retired Administrative Assistant for the Campbell County School Board Office. She had also worked with Craddock and Terry Shoes and B&W. She loved the mountains and traveling. She visited many places including Hawaii, Greece, and Israel. She also enjoyed reading and had a special passion for stray animals.
She is survived by her sister, Macca Lee Ferguson of Appomattox; niece, Diane Ferguson Smith of Appomattox; numerous cousins; and special friends, Edna Mae Johnson, Carla Lewis, and Carolyn Martin.
A graveside service will be held 11 am, Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Spout Spring Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Watson officiating.
