Robert A. Lancaster

Robert A Lancaster, 85, of Daleville passed away on August 6, 2022 at his residence.
Born and raised on Bent Mountain, Virginia he was the loving husband of 62 years to Sheila Lancaster, who survives and the son of William and Stella Lancaster, both deceased. Robert graduated from Bent Mountain High School in 1954. He was a long time employee of Southern States Cooperative and retired with 42 years of service. Robert was a former member of Botetourt planning commission and American Management Society. He was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church of Roanoke. Robert loved trips to the Grand Ole Opry, family vacations in Atlantic Beach, NC, and day trips to the Greenbrier. In his later years he had a love of antiquing, music, and watching his favorite show – American Pickers.
Robert was a loving father and in addition to his wife is survived by his daughter, Carolyn and fiancée Fred; son, Bill and wife Tracy; his sister Martha and husband Doug; and grandsons, Jimmy, Darryl, and Justin.
The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.
