Robert Kenneth"Pee Wee" or Bobby Higgins, Sr.

Robert Kenneth (“Pee Wee” or “Bobby”) Higgins, Sr., age 89, of 2224 Athol Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Monday, August 8, 2022 at his residence.
He was born December 28, 1932 in Clifton Forge to the late Chalmer and Elbie Bradley Higgins. He was a retired carman for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad and CSX Transportation, and a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen. He loved antique cars, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, and working on cars. He could do anything he put his mind to.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, David Deaton; four brothers, Chalmer Higgins, Earl Higgins, Glenn Higgins, and Donald Higgins; five sisters, Gladys Jones, Margaret Smith, Iris Barton, Bonnie Higgins, and infant Jeanne.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Nancy Hall Higgins of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Toni Ann Higgins Deaton of Clifton Forge; a son, Robert Kenneth “Kenny” Higgins, Jr. and wife Sandra of Clifton Forge; a brother-in-law, Jim Peters of Goshen; a sister, Hazel Barker of Richmond; four grandchildren, Ashley Byrd, Brooke O’Byrne, Heather Polozzia, and Kenzie Brendle; six great grandchildren, Grace O’Byrne, Miles O’Byrne, Sophie Polozzia, Rocky Polozzia, Stella Byrd, and Piper Mae Brendle; a number of nieces and nephews, including special nephews, Earl Higgins, Jr. and Mack Higgins; and also a number of cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Lynn Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
