Edward Eugene Bowers

Edward Eugene Bowers, 82, of Collinsville, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at his home. He was born July 7, 1940, in Stanton, Virginia to the late Hugh E. Bowers and Bertha Marie Jianniney Bowers. He was a member of Martinsville Church of Christ and had worked at Stanley Furniture. He enjoyed woodworking, and was a jack of all trades. He especially liked helping people.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Willis Bowers; sisters, Catherine Corum, Judy Davidson and Annie Lawrence; brothers, Sonny Bowers, Raymond Bowers and Linwood Bowers

He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Custer, Vickie Martin; sister, Janet Ratcliff; grandchildren, Robert Bailey, Haley Martin, Michael Custer, Stephanie Arnold and Brandi Harrison; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 11:00 A. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will be private.
