Bobbie R. Norman

Bobbie R. Norman, 78, of Fieldale, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 30, 1943 in Surry County, North Carolina to the late William Graves Norman and the late Elmer Hopkins Norman.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Norman.
Bobbie was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and he graduated from Bassett High School in 1961.  He was a former member of Fieldale Volunteer Fire Department, a Captain of Fieldale Rescue Squad when it was in existing and he was the Master Electrician of the new Bassett Funeral Service in 2007.  Bobbie really enjoyed fishing and working with his garden.
Bobbie is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, JoAnn Norman; sons, Todd Norman (Kym) and Greg Norman; four grandchildren, Samantha M. Norman, Taylor N. Norman, Bryson K. Norman and Ragan L. Norman; brother, Larry Norman (Joan) and two sisters, Carolyn Huie (Rick) and Kathy Norman Arrington.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jeff Evans officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Old Center Primative Baptist Church Cemetery.
